August 30, 2010 - In this latest release of Relativity (codenamed “PiRDO”) we’ve added one of the user community’s most frequently-requested features: keyboard shortcuts.  Users can now turn on keyboard shortcuts to browse through documents, navigate search hits, and apply coding values.  Keyboard shortcuts accelerate the document review process by allowing reviewers to make faster coding decisions and spend less time on unnecessary mouse movements.

July 30, 2010 - Relativity 6.5 will be available for deployment beginning next Friday, August 6, 2010.

 

In this release, we addressed a few defects and forged ahead with two new concepts in Relativity.  We introduced the ability to visualize email thread data, allowing you to display indented lists of documents in the Related Items Pane.  We also introduced the concept of production restrictions, allowing you to designate a set of "Do Not Produce" documents for each workspace.

June 25, 2010 - Relativity 6.4 will be deployed to kCura's hosting environment today, June 25, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. CDT.

 

In this release, we focused on a few "under-the-hood" items - improving the speed of Relativity Pivot, adding support for 64-bit compliant RSA 8.1 authentication, and improving the Services API.   On the front end, we added a few items to make filtering and mass editing easier and more intuitive.

June 8, 2010 - Relativity Analytics was recently featured in the EContentmag.com article Search: It's More Than Finding; It's Doing.  In the article, Bruce Furukawa of the San Francisco firm Severson & Werson discussed his experience using Relativity Analytics. 

 

Furukawa's team needed an efficient means of reviewing 80,000 email messages in a matter of days. "Initially, I budgeted for the case assuming we'd process 400 documents a day, giving each document one of 15 issue codes," Furukawa said.  With the help of kCura partnerEvolve Discovery, this process took half the budgeted time.

June 3, 2010 - Nearly half of the kCura staff took to the streets of Chicago last Thursday to participate in theJPMorgan Chase & Co. Corporate Challenge, a charity 3.5 mile run/walk benefiting the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Team kCura had an average time of 34:25. 

 

kCura’s strongest finisher was Nick Robertson, who tore through the course with a time of 22:01.  Great job, Nick!  If it wasn’t for the post-race food and drink in the kCura hospitality tent, we may have never seen him after the start line.

As one of two project leaders, Therese Carey of kCura is working to ensure that the EDRM remains current, practical, and relevant.  In conjunction with other thought leaders in the industry, Therese’s contributions will also enhance the content at each node of the EDRM and educate others about how to make effective use of the EDRM.
