Because Relativity runs on a standard Microsoft infrastructure, IT professionals are able to easily integrate Relativity into their existing environment without specialized training. The two prerequisites for installing and running Relativity, the Relativity Web Client and the Web Client Manager are Microsoft .NET Framework v4.0 and Microsoft C++ 2005 Redistributable. Relativity requires an Internet Explorer 7 or above web browser. Both terminal server and web browser technology can be used to allow reviewers to connect to Relativity databases. The Relativity web environment is secured with 128-bit SSL encryption technology. Relativity also integrates with RSA token authentication. The Relativity client services team works closely with IT professionals to develop a deployment plan that optimizes the web-hosting environment.

Consultants and project managers have the ability to build in and modify validation methodologies and best practices to simplify and standardize workflow processes, resulting in repeatable and defensible work product. When a successful workflow has been established, templates can be saved and built into the platform for future cases. Canned and customizable reports give consultants and project managers tools to monitor reviewer progress, check the status of document batches, generate high-level ad hoc tagging reports, and address special client requests through the ease of wrapping the Relativity User Interface around SQL scripts.

Consultants and project managers can create applications in Relativity to manage more than ESI. All activity related to the identification, collection, review, analysis and production of a data collection can be tracked and monitored through Relativity Applications, including collection activities, chain of custody, key documents, pleadings and other court documents, time sheets, witness information, timelines and much more.
