February 4, 2011 - Version 1.6 of kCura’s flexible legal hold application is now available. The release includes new visual analysis capabilities, improved notification features, and a more intuitive experience for hold participants.

With Method 1.6, hold administrators can display data from their Method libraries with charts to gain a better understanding of the scope of the hold. For example, administrators can create a chart that illustrates hold participants by department.

The release also provides improved e-mail notification features. HTML formatting has been enabled in notifications, and administrators can send test notifications to preview the final formatting. They can also send hold reminders on demand, in addition to sending periodic reminders.

Additionally, the Method Interview Portal now features tabular viewing of notices and questionnaires. This allows hold participants to navigate the portal quickly and easily.

January 7, 2011 - Method 1.5 is now available. The newest release of kCura’s legal hold management application features workflow and performance enhancements, new reporting functionality, and the ability to preview information before it goes live.

Workflow enhancements to the Method Console, which is the application’s centralized tool for hold management actions, have simplified the steps needed to add notices and questionnaires. Additionally, Method 1.5 includes a field that allows administrators to designate legal holds to a particular client or individual, making it easier to organize multiple holds.

In response to feedback from Method users, kCura has created the ability for Method to automatically send hold administrators a status report that contains granular information about hold participants and outstanding reminders to help administrators gauge hold progress.

Finally, hold owners now have the ability to view the final layout of their communications within Method. They can preview the Method Interview Portal, which is where hold participants access their notifications and questionnaires. They can also send test e-mails.

December 8, 2010 - kCura has updated the format of our weekly Method webinars. Based on feedback from attendees, we’ve found that they benefit more from an overview of the web-based application and how it can streamline the legal hold process, rather than simply an end user training. • Background
  • Roles: Hold Owners, Custodians, and Alert Groups
  • Workspaces: Organization and Security
  • Hold Workflow
  • Method Interview Portal
  • Reporting
  • Closing a Hold

Sessions include a live demo of the software and time for questions and answers. To register for a Method overview webinar, please visit our Documentation & Training webpage.
